How Marktonic handles your data
In plain language
- Marktonic reads GA4, Google Ads, and/or Meta Ads data you connect and writes it into your own Google Sheet. That's the whole job.
- Your report and schedule settings are stored inside your own spreadsheet's file data — not on a server we run.
- We never sell your data, show you ads, or share it with anyone beyond the Google/Meta APIs needed to fetch what you asked for.
- You can disconnect or delete anything, anytime, from the add-on's Profiles tab or your own Google/Meta account settings.
Who this policy covers
This policy describes how Marktonic ("Marktonic", "we", "us"), a Google Sheets add-on built by an independent developer at GetoLabs, handles information when you install and use it. It applies to the add-on itself — not to Google Sheets, Google Analytics, Google Ads, or Meta Ads, whose own privacy policies govern the platforms themselves.
What Marktonic accesses
Marktonic only requests access when you connect a data source, and only to the scope needed to build the reports you ask for.
| Source | What's accessed | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Your Google Sheet | Read/write access to the spreadsheet you're working in | To write report results into a tab, and to store your report/schedule settings as file metadata |
| Google Analytics (GA4) | Read-only report data for properties you have access to | To run the reports you build in the sidebar |
| Google Ads | Read-only campaign performance data for accounts you have access to | Same — populating the report you configured |
| Meta Ads | Read-only ad account insights, via your own Facebook login | Same — populating the report you configured |
| Your Google account email | Basic profile email address | Shown back to you in the Profiles tab so you know which account is connected |
Marktonic never asks for your passwords. Access is granted through Google's and Meta's own sign-in screens, which you can revoke at any time (see Section 7).
Where things are stored
- Report and schedule definitions (which dimensions, metrics, filters, and timing you chose) are stored as developer metadata attached to your own Google Sheet — inside Google's infrastructure, tied to that specific file, not copied to a database we operate.
- Your Meta login token, once you connect a Meta account, is stored using Google Apps Script's built-in per-user storage, scoped to you and this add-on. It is never written into a spreadsheet cell or visible to other people you share the sheet with.
- Report output (the actual GA4/Ads/Meta numbers) is written directly into the sheet tab you name. From that point on, it's just spreadsheet data, subject to whatever sharing settings you've set on that file.
Marktonic does not operate a separate database, does not log your report data to any third-party analytics or logging service, and does not use cookies or trackers of any kind.
Data protection & security
Sensitive data accessed through Marktonic — GA4, Google Ads, and Meta Ads report data — is protected as follows:
- Encryption in transit. Every request to the Google Analytics, Google Ads, and Meta Ads APIs runs over HTTPS/TLS. Marktonic never transmits your data over an unencrypted connection.
- No separate data store. As described in Section 3, Marktonic doesn't copy your data to a database or server it operates — report output goes straight into your own spreadsheet, and configuration is stored as metadata on that same file, both secured by Google's own infrastructure and your Google account's access controls.
- Per-user token isolation. OAuth access for Google services is handled entirely by Google Apps Script's built-in authorization, scoped to your account. Your Meta login token is stored via Apps Script's user-scoped property storage, isolated to you — Marktonic's developer cannot read it, and it is never shared across users or written anywhere visible to others.
- No credential storage. Marktonic never sees or stores your Google or Meta password. Access is granted, and can be revoked, entirely through Google's and Meta's own account settings (Section 7).
- Minimal footprint by design. Marktonic requests read-only access to GA4, Google Ads, and Meta Ads data, and write access limited to the spreadsheet you're actively using — never broader access than the report you're configuring requires.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or rent your data to anyone, under any circumstances.
- We don't use your data to serve you ads, inside or outside the add-on.
- We don't share your data with third parties, other than the Google and Meta APIs strictly required to fetch the report you asked for.
- We don't retain a copy of your report data outside your own spreadsheet.
How long data sticks around
Report and schedule definitions live for as long as your spreadsheet does, or until you delete them yourself from the Reports or Schedule tab. Deleting a report removes its definition immediately. Deleting or losing access to the spreadsheet removes everything stored on it.
Disconnecting Meta (Profiles tab → Log out of Meta) deletes your stored Meta token right away.
Your controls
- Delete a report or schedule — Reports or Schedule tab, any time.
- Disconnect Meta — Profiles tab → Log out of Meta.
- Revoke Google access entirely — Google Account → Security → Third-party access.
- Revoke Meta access entirely — Facebook → Settings → Business Integrations, or Meta Business Suite's connected apps.
- Uninstall — remove the add-on from Extensions → Add-ons in any sheet it's installed in.
Children's privacy
Marktonic is a business/marketing tool and isn't directed at, or knowingly used by, children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a way that affects what we access or how we use it, we'll update the effective date above and, where required, notify you before the change takes effect.
